This Standard specifies the circular plain washers (hereafter referred to as "plain
washers") made of steel and stainless steel used for bolts, screws and nuts of general
use.
When requiring the dimensions of washers other than those specified in the text of
this Standard, the reference dimensions should be selected from those in JIS B 1250
and the tolerances should be selected from those in JIS B 1022.
The shape and dimensions of square washer is shown in Annex JA as reference.
