The purpose of this standard is to specify two methods for determining the phosphorus content in ferrochrome and ferrosilicochrome, by spectrophotometry. The methods are applicable to ferrochromes and ferrosilicochromes with a maximum phosphorus content of 0.080%. Method A applies to low carbon ferrochrome and ferrosilicochrome and method B to high carbon ferrochrome.
