This standard establishes the minimum requirements and test conditions for the certification of unit load equipment to be used in certified aircraft. This standard affects pallets, nets and containers designed for use on aircraft with the following classes of loading and restraint systems: Class I: Retention of unit load equipment subjected to any loading conditions on the ground and on the ground, including emergency loading conditions of 9 g forward. Class II: Any retention of unit load equipment, except for those in Class I.
