The purpose of this standard is to establish the method to be followed to obtain a global sample of a consignment, batch or batch of coke, so that said sample is representative of the total with regard to all or some of its physical or chemicals. In addition to the standardized method, other methods are established that can be applied in those cases in which its application is impossible. The successive operations to which the overall sample must be subjected are also established until the various laboratory samples are obtained (for total humidity, for chemical analysis and for physical tests). Deliberately, to facilitate the use of this standard, the statistical foundations on which each and every one of the operations described are based are not exposed (see UNE 32-102/1 and UNE 32-102/2). . This standard will apply to the taking and preparation of samples of all types of coke.
