This standard establishes the method to determine the aptitude for plastic deformation due to bending of metallic materials. It is applicable to the bending test of specimens taken from metallic products according to the specifications of the corresponding standards. It is not applicable to certain materials and/or products, such as tubes, with or without welding, which are subject to specific standards.
