The purpose of this standard is to specify a method for determining the apparent density of washing powders by weighing a given volume. To fill the weighing container, two procedures are described in this standard. In the first, the vein of powder falling from the inlet funnel is not protected from air currents. In the second method, said vein always moves inside a wide tube, avoiding the dispersion of the dust into the ambient air and, therefore, increasing the safety of the operator.
