This standard establishes the dimensional and functional characteristics of dial comparators, with or without protection against shocks, and gives some recommendations on precision characteristics. This standard is applicable only for dial gauges with divisions of 0.01 mm (measuring range up to 10 mm) and 0.001 mm (measuring range up to 5 mm). For precision millesimal comparators, see the UNE 82-312 standard. For comparators with protection against water and waterproof, special requirements are used that are not indicated in this standard.
