This International Standard specifies test methods to evaluate the effect of different icing conditions on the characteristics of aircraft components or equipment, mainly: 1) The characteristics of the equipment on which ice or frost forms ; 2) The effects of refreezing water from melted ice or condensation; 3) The characteristics of the anti-icing or de-icing system equipment.
