UNE 55-709-1984 General method for determination of iron content in raw materials for detergent formulations and spectroscopic determination of phenanthroline
The purpose of this standard is to establish a general method for the determination of iron, by spectrophotometry with 1,10-phenanthroline, in chemical products used as raw materials for detergent formulations. This method describes a technique for determining the iron content in a solution. For each chemical product there must be a standard that establishes the conditions for preparing the test solution to which the method described below must be applied. If necessary, the standard corresponding to a specific product will indicate the modifications introduced in the general method to make it applicable to said product.
