This standard specifies the test method for seeders, including those associated with a base machine. The test method allows determining the performance of in-line seeders through reproductive tests that allow comparable results to be obtained numerically or graphically, taking into account the influence of:
——the type of grain;
——the forward speed of the seeder;
——the grain level in the hopper;
——flow regulation;
——the slope of the land;
——the state of the ground surface (shaking). The tests can be completed with other optional tests (see Annex B) to describe the influence of the grain treatment products and the distribution in the field. The mandatory tests do not in all cases provide figures of the actual distribution of the grain on the ground. NOTE- The UNE 68-098 standard deals with the testing procedure for single-grain seeders (precision seeders). (See standard UNE 68-051/O for classification).
