The purpose of this standard is to define the characteristics and test methods of elastomeric sheets, without reinforcement or armor, for the waterproofing of buildings, ponds, reservoirs and similar applications. The materials covered by this standard are classified into three types: Type I — Butyl rubber sheets (MR) Type II — Ethylene propylene diene sheets (EPDM) Type III — Chloroprene rubber sheets (CR) The handling and placement of these Materials are not subject to this standard.
