Scope
This standard specifies the instrumentation symbols that must be used for interconnection diagrams applied to the design, installation and maintenance of measurement equipment and control systems. Normally, these detailed symbols are not intended for graphics in which the functional symbols listed in the UNE 1-096/1 and UNE 1-096/2 standards are used. However, the symbols specified in this standard present, detailing the components, the external connections in the different devices of a piece of equipment. Information on internal connections in devices is not normally included, although references to circuit or wiring diagrams may be provided. When an instrument is composed of more than one functional part, different symbols can be combined; for example, a registration regulation device. The measurements of the symbols are free, provided that the proportions of the dimensions indicated in this standard are respected. Unless otherwise specified, contact symbols shall be shown in the open position. Diagrams can employ single-line or multi-line representations and can be combined, or replaced by tables, ensuring that clarity is maintained. For more details see the UNE 21-326/5 standard.
