This standard specifies the method for determining the freezing point of an antifreeze or coolant solution for use in motor vehicles. When solutions of specific concentrations are tested, they must be prepared from representative samples. Any secondary phase separated in the dilution should not be removed. These products can also be found on the market ready for use (pediluted).
