This method deals with the determination of the static and dynamic friction coefficients of films and sheets of plastic material that slide on themselves or other substances, under the specified test conditions. The procedure allows the use of a fixed plate with a movable support or a movable plate on a fixed support. Both procedures result in the same friction coefficients for a given sample.
