Scope
This document aims to establish the general procedures and administrative conditions necessary for a testing laboratory evaluation and acceptance system. The body or authority granting recognition may specify other requirements and information necessary for the evaluation of technical competence or the determination of compatibility with other criteria, depending on the particular characteristics of the laboratory's activities. In this document, the term "test laboratory" applies to a set of test facilities used at or originating from a specifically designated location. This document may be used by accreditation bodies, certification bodies or other governmental or non-governmental bodies responsible for the acceptance, recognition or approval of testing laboratories. NOTES 1 This document must be used in conjunction with the UNE 66-800 standard. 2 The testing laboratory, or its function, may be an integral part of a certification body or an independent entity 3 Where a testing laboratory works on behalf of a certification body, it must generally operate in accordance with the instructions specific to said organism.
