This standard aims to unify the criteria and parameters involved in carrying out geophysical work by the magnetic method. This achieves, on the one hand, guaranteeing the correct obtaining of maps or profiles of total magnetic induction or any of its components, measurements on the Earth's surface, and on the other hand, facilitating the specification of the work to be carried out in the hiring and planning phase.
