This standard is an extension of the UNE 1-096/1 standard, which is limited to the identification of the basic functions of the instruments. This standard includes additional symbols and is intended for the communication of measurement and regulation functions between specialists in instrumentation and other techniques involved in the conception of vessels, pipes, installation design and operation. The symbols described in this standard are applicable to diagrams representing piping and instrumentation and to linear engineering diagrams.
