This standard specifies the method of assessing the reflectance produced by the surface under test, by measuring the specular gloss at 20°, 60° and 85°, and referring to a standard or pattern specular gloss value. It is applicable both to the finishes or coatings of panels, as well as to the surfaces of wooden furniture (which includes those made from particle panels, plywood, etc.).
