The purpose of this standard is to specify the conditions of tests and measurements, and to set the limits of the level of vibration intensity of an electrical machine, when the measurements are carried out on the machine alone in a test area under adequately controlled conditions*. * NOTE — For machines with rated powers greater than 300 kW, tested in situ, the ISO 3945 standard must be taken into account.
