The purpose of this standard is to define the requirements that must be met and the equipment to be used to take samples of fly ash used as an addition to Portland cement concrete, intended for control tests thereof, as well as its preparation, transportation and conservation. This standard is applicable to the taking of samples from a batch of fly ash upon receipt and, where appropriate, to the taking of samples at any other time in the process.
