Scope
1.1 This standard specifies: a) static laboratory tests to measure structural characteristics, and b) performance requirements in a representative test; rollover protective structures (ROPS)1); It is closely related to the deformation limit volume (DLV) (see UNE 115-204 standard). 1.2 Static laboratory tests are a means of determining the characteristics of the structures used to protect the operator in the event of a maximum rollover of 360°, on hardened clay ground with a maximum slope of 30°, and for speeds between 0 and 16 km/h, without penetration into the DLV by the resistant elements of the ROPS. 1.3 Establishes reliable and reproducible procedures to evaluate the force/deformation relationship in ROPS subjected to static loads and establish the behavioral requirements of the same under such loads, so that it is a representative test. 1.4 In this standard, the expression "representative test" means a test carried out on a model, whose materials, dimensions and manufacturing procedures are equivalent to those used in normally manufactured ROPS. 1.5 The UNE 115-207/22 standard deals with the requirements relating to ROPS in machinery for forestry work.
