1.1 This standard specifies sizes, requirements, marking, sampling and criteria for conformity and tests for a.c. electric ceiling type fans.
1.2 This standard applies specifically to capacitor and non-capacitor type electric ceiling fans for use on single-phase a.c. circuits at voltages not exceeding 250 V for service within the buildings or the like only.
1.3 This standard does not cover other accessories vhich are assembled to the fan but which are not specified herein, e.g. timer switch.
