The method described in this standard is intended as a guide for determining the tensile strength and elongation at break of fabrics in the air-dry and wet states with a constant elongation rate of the sample. Note: Device types with constant withdrawal speed or constant increase in force do not necessarily produce the same results for the same tissue. If such devices are used, this must be noted in the test report (see Section 6.4).
