Scope: This document provides a specification of the generic design, creation and publication process of wiring diagrams used in the repair of vehicles. The specification focuses on the core components of the processes and describes the respective steps of how to utilize harness construction data; it also describes how to add additional information to such a wiring diagram in form of interactive features. This document defines the required information and file formats that serve as interfaces and that are important for the whole technical process. The description of the file formats and the process of the design, creation and publishing Interactive Circuit Diagrams cover the following aspects: - process description, definition of the required input information, - definition of the file format and its content the technical author has to work on and - definition of the output format for providing this technical information to a technician. The specifications of a software tool for the creation and maintenance of OEM specific symbols and for an editor to edit a circuit diagram are out of scope of this document.
