CEA-23-A was developed to set forth test methodologies and procedures for measuring the performance characteristics of cable ready consumer electronics television receiving equipment. The test methodologies and procedures in the body of CEA-23-A are designed for use when determining compliance with FCC Rules for "Cable Ready Consumer Electronics Equipment", under 47 C.F.R. §15.118(c).
