Scope

This part specifies the principles, sampling, analysis steps and accuracy of the determination of sodium nitrite in diesel locomotive coolant. This section applies to the determination of coolants containing sodium nitrite. This section gives three determination methods: Method 1 is suitable for the accurate determination of coolants containing sodium nitrite 500mg/L ~ 2500mg/L; Method 2 is suitable for coolants containing sodium nitrite 0mg/L ~ 30mg/L Rapid determination (coolant samples need to be diluted before measurement); Method 3 is suitable for rapid determination of coolants containing sodium nitrite 0mg/L ~ 12mg/L (coolant samples need to be diluted before measurement).
