This standard specifies a general count skip lot sampling inspection procedure that reduces the effort required to inspect submitted products. This standard is applicable where the supplier has demonstrated the ability to effectively control its quality in all aspects and consistently produces lots that meet the requirements. Reduction of inspection effort is achieved by randomly selecting lots submitted for inspection with a defined probability and deciding whether to pass without inspection. This procedure is also extended to JIS Z 9015-1 lots, where the principle of random sampling from among lots is already applied.
