This standard specifies the classification method and special requirements for frozen/refrigerated show cases (hereinafter referred to as showcases) for the purpose of selling or displaying food, and supplements JIS B 8612-1. In addition, four classes of showcases determined by one or more of the following temperatures are specified (see JIS B 8611 3).
