Scope

This standard specifies the required quality for piston rings (hereinafter referred to as rings) with a nominal diameter of more than 200 mm and less than 1000 mm used in reciprocating internal combustion engines. Additionally, this standard specifies qualities that are generally not indicated in drawing specifications and applies to the following:
