Scope
Purpose This specification provides a standard forthe design@ manufacture@ inspection@ performance@ and procurement of radio frequency induction brazing equipment for permanently installed tubing systems. This standard lists minimum criteria and does not limit technological advances. Classification The machines shall be of the following types@ sizes and classes: Types Power Supply (Rectifier)/Oscillator (Inverter) I - Vacuum Tube/Vacuum Tube (VT/VT) II - Solid State/Vacuum Tube (SS/VT) III - Soild State/Solid State (SS/SS) with each type to be further identified as a combination system@ (functions under one package) or separate system (functions under different and separated packages) for example: SS/VT Separate. Size Size shall be rated in terms of effective KVA output (RMS) at 100% power settings (see section 4.3.3.1). A. Less than 5 KVA B. 5 KVA to 25 KVA C. Greater than 25 KVA Class 1. Portable - Equipment designed to be hand carried. 2. Mobile - Equipment mointed on a permanent base with wheels or casters for moving in the assembled configurations. 3. Fixed - Equipment placed in a site and must be disconnected to be transported.
