Scope

This standard applies to filter material containing a layer of polymer nanofibers (hereinafter referred to as filter nanomaterial) used in air purification filters (hereinafter referred to as filters). This standard establishes a list of characteristics of filter nanomaterials and contains recommendations for the use of appropriate measurement methods to determine them. This standard does not establish the characteristics of filter nanomaterials and safety requirements, including the impact of filter nanomaterials on the environment and human health during their manufacture and use.
