Variety Selection
It is advisable to choose high-quality, stable-yielding, and disease-resistant japonica rice varieties suitable for local planting. The quality of seeds should meet the provisions of GB 4404.1.
Sowing
Factory-based seedling raising methods are recommended. Seedling production should follow the regulations stipulated in DB21/T 2163.
Land Preparation and Transplanting
Follow the provisions specified in Chapter 7 of DB21/T 3456-2021.
Water and Fertilizer Management
Fertilization should be carried out according to the requirements outlined in Section 8.1 of DB21/T 3456-2021, while irrigation should follow the provisions specified in Section 8.2 of the same document.
4.6 Disease, Pest, and Weed Control
Follow the regulations stipulated in DB21/T 3374.
4.7 Application of Foliar Spray Agents for Folic Acid Regulation
4.7.1 Conditions
Application should be carried out on a day with no rainfall or rain expected over the next two days.
4.7.2 Time
Apply during the jointing stage or grain-filling stage, 1 hour after sunset.
4.7.3 Application
The amount of foliar spray agent per 667 m² is 1500 g to 2100 g, diluted at a ratio of 1:20 with water. Application should be carried out uniformly using agricultural sprayers or multi-rotor drone spraying devices. Agricultural sprayer operations should comply with the provisions specified in NY/T 650, and drone operations should meet the relevant regulations stipulated in DB21/T 3674.
4.8 Harvesting
Harvest when 90% of the rice grains show yellow颖壳变黄时应适时收获. Mechanical harvesting should follow the provisions specified in DB21/T 2750, and the quality of the paddy should meet the requirements stipulated in GB 1350.
5 Processing Techniques
5.1 Raw Materials
Use folic acid-rich rice as raw materials.
5.2 Process Requirements
Should comply with the provisions specified in GB/T 26630, avoiding direct sunlight exposure.
5.3 Hygiene Requirements
Should meet the provisions of GB 13122.
6 Quality Requirements
6.1 Basic Requirements
Quality indicators for rice should conform to the provisions specified in GB/T 1354.
6.2 Folic Acid Content Requirements
The content should be higher than that of conventionally cultivated rice of the same variety by 66% to 160%, and must not exceed 2.3 mg/kg.
6.3 Safety Requirements
Should meet the provisions specified in GB 2715.
7 Testing Methods
7.1 Sampling, Subsampling
Follow the provisions specified in GB 5491.
7.2 Quality Indicators
Follow the relevant provisions of GB/T 1354.
7.3 Folic Acid Content
Follow the relevant provisions of GB 5009.211.
8 Labeling and Identification
Should comply with the provisions specified in GB 7718 and GB 28050.
9 Packaging, Transportation, and Storage
9.1 Packaging
Use non-transparent packaging materials; other provisions should follow those specified in GB/T 17109.
9.2 Transportation
Follow the relevant provisions of "Technical Guide for Grain Transportation (Trial)", ensuring that transport vehicles and containers meet hygiene requirements, avoiding direct sunlight exposure, rain, or contamination during transportation.
9.3 Storage
Store packaged rice in dry, clean, moisture-proof, insect-free, rodent-free, sunless, and odorless warehouses; do not store with toxic or harmful substances containing high moisture content.
