GOST R 59776-2021 Measurement procedures for materials used in photovoltaic modules and its components. Part 6-2. General tests. Moisture permeation testing of polymeric materials
This standard applies to polymeric materials used for the manufacture of photovoltaic module components and establishes a method for assessing their moisture permeability. The standard establishes requirements for determining the stationary rate of water vapor transmission, permeability, diffusion and solubility coefficients, time of through penetration of moisture and other characteristics of moisture permeability. This standard applies primarily to polymer materials of such components of photovoltaic modules as filler material, end seals, front and back coatings. Typical polymer materials used are ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) or polyolefins as filler materials, polyisobutylene (PIB) for end seals, and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl fluoride (PVF), or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF, PTFE-2) for back covers.
