- Scope
- This standard applies to telephone cables with polyethylene insulation in a plastic sheath (hereinafter referred to as cables) intended for use in local primary communication networks with a rated remote supply voltage of up to 225 and 145 V AC with a frequency of 50 Hz or voltage of up to 315 and 200 V DC respectively. This standard establishes the basic requirements for the design and technical characteristics of cables, their performance properties and test methods.
