GB/T 23307-2023 "Floor sockets for household and similar purposes" is a mandatory standard for floor sockets for household and similar environments, replacing the original GB/T 23307-2009 version. The new standard has made important updates in technical requirements, classification parameters, test methods, etc., especially in terms of protection against electric shock, mechanical strength, protection level and functional module design.
| Classification dimensions | Parameter description | Comparison between the old and new standards |
|---|---|---|
| Protection level | Added protection level requirements against harmful water ingress, divided into two categories: with and without. | The 2009 version did not specify this requirement. |
| Mechanical strength | Added shell impact test and functional module pressure test to ensure product durability. | The 2009 version only requires basic mechanical strength tests. |
| Functional module | The isolation requirements for strong and weak current parts are refined to ensure electromagnetic compatibility. | The 2009 version did not specify the requirements for weak current modules. |
The new standard adds more detailed indicators in the classification dimension, such as classification by installation method and protection level (see Table 1), and adds multiple key test items to ensure more comprehensive product quality.
