Scope
This standard specifies requirements for the shape, dimensions, materials, performance characteristics and markings of piston seals for glass cylinders (single-chamber design) for injectable dosage forms. Piston seals according to this standard are intended for single use only. This standard does not apply to piston seals with a protective coating.
