Scope

This document specifies a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of the content of silicone compounds and other SVHC compounds in automotive materials. This document is applicable to the determination of siloxane compounds and other SVHC compounds in materials such as plastics, rubber and coatings in automobiles and their parts and components. Materials in other products that have been verified to be suitable can also be measured with reference to this method.
