Heat-treatable steels, alloy steels and free-cutting steels – Part 3: Case-hardening steels

This standard specifies the technical delivery requirements for case-hardening steels in the form of hot-rolled or forged products, usually processed by hot forming (forging, extrusion, etc.), with a diameter or thickness up to 250 mm. It includes alloy steels and free-cutting steels intended for heat treatment. The standard covers general requirements, dimensions and tolerances, mechanical properties, and inspection procedures for these materials.
