5. Calculation Scope
5.1 Energy processing and conversion equipment involved in the production of non-energy products should calculate raw energy consumption, including but not limited to: naphtha裂解装置、芳烃装置、乙烷脱氢装置、丙烷脱氢装置、碳五分离装置、碳八抽提苯乙烯装置、碳九树脂装置、乙烯焦油提萘装置、炭黑装置、天然气制甲醇.
5.2 Non-energy processing and conversion equipment should consider raw energy consumption calculations according to the need. Non-energy processing and conversion equipment include but are not limited to: polyethylene装置、聚丙烯装置、苯乙烯装置、丁辛醇装置、合成橡胶装置、合成树脂装置、PET装置、涂料装置、表面活性剂装置等. Hydrogen, solvent oil, asphalt, etc., consumed by a single non-energy processing and conversion equipment can be excluded from the calculation of energy consumption and raw energy consumption if they are not counted as energy products; if the enterprise's plant boundary area involves hydrogen production from coal, oil refining, etc., the raw energy consumption should be calculated.
5.3 Oxidation reaction equipment should calculate raw energy consumption, including but not limited to: n-butane oxidation to succinic anhydride装置、methanol oxidation to formaldehyde装置、propylene oxidation to acrylic acid装置、ethylene oxidation to ethylene oxide装置、o-xylene oxidation to phthalic anhydride装置、p-xylene oxidation to PTA等.
5.4 Non-energy products used as fuel or power, or as raw materials for producing another energy product or auxiliary material, should be calculated according to GB/T 2589 and GB/T 50441 as energy inputs to calculate the amount of energy consumption. This mainly includes three cases: direct combustion, such as methanol, synthetic ammonia etc., mixed with fuel or directly burned; oxidation reaction, such as methanol oxidation to formaldehyde, ethanol oxidation to acetaldehyde, ethylene oxidation to ethylene oxide, propylene oxidation to acrylic acid, benzene oxidation to succinic anhydride, o-xylene oxidation to phthalic anhydride, p-xylene oxidation to PTA etc., non-energy products such as methanol, ethanol, ethylene, propylene, benzene, o-xylene, p-xylene used as energy products for raw materials, producing chemical products such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, ethylene oxide, acrylic acid, succinic anhydride, phthalic anhydride, PTA etc. should calculate the raw energy consumption; used as raw materials or auxiliary material to produce another energy product, such as methanol for hydrogen production, methanol for dimethyl ether production, methanol for MTBE production, asphalt blending for fuel oil adjustment etc., in which methanol and mixed aromatics are used as energy products.
6 Calculation Method
6.1 Energy processing and conversion equipment raw energy consumption calculation. Raw energy consumption is the sum of the raw energy consumptions of various energy processing and conversion equipment, and the raw energy consumption of each device is calculated by multiplying the actual output of non-energy products in production process with their standard coal equivalent coefficient, following formula (1).

n —— Number of types of non-energy products produced during the process;
Qi —— Actual output of the i-th type of non-energy product during the process;
Ki —— Standard coal equivalent coefficient of the i-th type of non-energy product.
6.2 Non-energy processing and conversion equipment should calculate raw energy consumption according to the need. Hydrogen, solvent oil, asphalt etc., consumed by single non-energy processing and conversion device for producing polyethylene from ethylene polymerization, polypropylene from propylene polymerization, butanol/ethyl acetate from propylene carbonylation, asphalt-based waterproofing membranes, resin coatings etc., can be excluded from the calculation of energy consumption and raw energy consumption if they are not counted as energy products; if the enterprise's plant boundary area involves hydrogen production from coal or oil refining, the raw energy consumption should be calculated, following formula (2).

Gi —— Actual purchase volume of the i-th type of energy used as raw material during the process;
Ki —— Standard coal equivalent coefficient of the i-th type of energy used as raw material.
6.3 Oxidation reaction equipment raw energy consumption calculation. The raw materials such as alkanes, alkenes, aromatics, alcohols etc., in oxidation reaction equipment should be counted as energy inputs to include them in the total energy consumption. The main chemical products produced by oxidation reactions such as ethylene oxide, acrylic acid, succinic anhydride, phthalic anhydride, terephthalic acid (PTA), formaldehyde, acetaldehyde etc., should calculate the raw energy consumption. Raw energy consumption is calculated by multiplying the theoretical raw material consumption to produce oxidation products with the standard coal equivalent coefficient corresponding to the oxidation raw materials, following formula (3).

Wf —— Molecular weight of the main product's raw material in the oxidation reaction equipment;
Wp —— Molecular weight of the main product produced by the oxidation reaction equipment;
Qp —— Actual output of the main product's raw material corresponding to the oxidation reaction equipment;
K —— Standard coal equivalent coefficient for the raw material producing the main product in the oxidation reaction equipment.
6.4 The total energy consumption (including raw energy consumption) of energy processing and conversion equipment and oxidation reaction equipment projects should be calculated as the sum of all types of energy consumed by the enterprise (unit) in industrial production, converted into standard metric units such as tons of standard coal for measuring consumption. It is calculated according to formula (4).

E产出 —— Converted total energy consumption of produced energy.
6.5 The total energy consumption (excluding raw energy consumption) of energy processing and conversion equipment and oxidation reaction equipment projects should be calculated as the sum of all types of energy consumed by the enterprise (unit) in industrial production minus the raw energy consumption, following formula (5).
