Scope
Thisstandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationofthefirmnessofbutter.Themethodisalsoapplicabletobutterpreparedbyrecombinationofmilkcomponents,aeratedbutter,andbuttertowhichvegetablefat,spicesorotherfoodshavebeenadded.Anychangeswithregardtothepreparationofthebutter,however,willinfluenceitsfirmnesscharacteristics.Therefore,forthepurposesofthisstandardtheseproductsarenotincluded.
