This standard specifies requirements for a packaging system that is used to supply sterilized, ready-to-fill syringes in trays and receptacles. This standard does not apply to downstream processes (post-fill processes such as on- and off-site transport, reprocessing) which may entail special requirements for packaging suitable for transporting sterilized ready-to-fill syringes.
