Scope
Green design, also known as ecological or environmental consciousness design, refers to designing products throughout their lifecycle while ensuring product function and quality lifespan. In the product design phase, it considers the impact on resources and the environment during raw material selection, production, sales, use, recycling, and disposal. The goal is to maximize resource efficiency over a product's lifecycle, minimize the use of toxic or harmful materials, reduce pollution generation and emissions, thereby achieving environmental protection. Promoting green design products in manufacturing helps drive green consumption and green economic development. Establishing evaluation standards and norms for various types of green design products across industries forms the foundation for creating such products, and a robust standard system ensures smooth advancement. Integrated sewage treatment equipment for rural domestic wastewater is designed to address the unique challenges of low water volume, dispersed sources, and complex water quality in rural areas. These devices are compact with high efficiency, becoming mainstream solutions for rural domestic wastewater management. As energy-saving awareness grows across society, these devices are moving towards more efficient and eco-friendly designs. This document proposes requirements ensuring that the equipment meets product specifications regarding functionality, sealing, effluent quality while emphasizing its compliance with environmental standards throughout its lifecycle, minimal resource consumption, high safety factors, and reduced negative environmental impacts. It aims to develop ecologically, economically, and sustainably green design products. Establishing technical norms for evaluating green design products of rural domestic wastewater treatment equipment can provide technical guidance for their production and serve as a basis for industry evaluation. This will promote the green development of manufacturing industries in rural domestic wastewater treatment and drive the entire supply chain towards greener transformations.
