Detailed explanation of key performance indicators

1. Physical and chemical performance requirements

The apparent density of flexible organic plugging materials is ≤2000kg/m³, and the compressive strength of inorganic plugging materials is 0.8-6.5MPa. The corrosion test adopts 70℃/90%RH environment for 168h, and no rust is required.

2. Combustion performance classification

Non-inorganic materials must meet GB8624 B2 grade, fire retardant fabric requirements: damage length ≤ 150mm, afterburning/smoldering time ≤ 5s.

3. Fire test method

  • 6 KVV (7×1.5mm²) cables
  • 7 YJV (3×50+1×25mm²) cables
  • 1 DN32 steel pipe
  • 500×100mm steel bridge

Thermocouple arrangement: A temperature measurement point must be set 25mm from the plugging material on the surface of the penetration object


Project implementation suggestions

Selection principles

Important public buildings should select Class Z materials and verify the smoke toxicity index. Power facilities should give priority to FDL fire-resistant products.

Installation points

  1. The cable filling rate shall not exceed the test verification value
  2. Non-flame retardant cables need additional fire retardant coating protection (≥315mm)
  3. 100% displacement space should be reserved for deformable gaps

Acceptance inspection

Key points to check:

  • Air tightness test (important places)
  • Water flushing test (EC/EIC grade products)
  • Temperature rise record of the back-fire surface
