Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) hybrid seed production procedures, seed production facilities and production environment selection, sowing and seedling raising, land preparation and planting, field management, hybrid seed production, pest and disease control, seed harvesting and storage, seed quality traceability, etc. This document is applicable to eggplant hybrid seed production in Hubei Province and can also be used as a reference in other areas of the Yangtze River Basin.
