Introduction This Plan discusses the administration of assigning unique Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) Identifiers to the CDPD Network community. A number of issues must be considered before starting any registration service. This Plan provides an explanation of critical areas where policies and procedures must be developed@ and describes the role and responsibilities of the CDPD registration staff. Additionally@ it discusses the importance of developing registration templates and software in conjunction with using manual logs@ while providing the capability of displaying this information to the world. This plan also discusses the major Identifiers assigned by the CDPD NIC@ and provides sample registration templates for each Identifier. The CDPD NIC will use this plan to administer unique Identifiers to their network community.
