Green design, also known as eco-design or environmental consciousness design, refers to designing products according to the concept of a product's entire lifecycle. At this stage, during the development and design phase, it systematically considers the impact on resources and the environment from raw material selection, production, sales, use, recycling, and disposal. The aim is to minimize resource consumption throughout the product’s lifecycle as much as possible and avoid or reduce the use of harmful substances in raw materials, thereby reducing pollution generation and emissions to achieve environmental protection activities. Promoting the production and manufacturing of green design products greatly advances green consumption and economic development. Establishing evaluation standards and guidelines for various categories of green design products is the foundation for creating such products; a well-defined standard system ensures smooth promotion of green design products.
The Plate Frame Rotary Screen Clarifier, which uses rotating nets to intercept and remove floating and suspended objects from water bodies, has excellent filtration performance and broad applicability. This document proposes requirements in terms of environmental compliance throughout its entire lifecycle (from raw material acquisition, production, transportation, use, until final waste disposal), aiming for minimal harm to the environment and ecosystems, low resource and energy consumption, and high safety factors, thus reducing resource and energy inputs and negative environmental impacts over the product's lifecycle. By developing a technical specification for evaluating green design products of plate frame rotary screen clarifiers, it can provide data support for advancing the green development of this industry, promoting the green development of its manufacturing sector, and driving comprehensive green transformation along the entire industrial chain. Through leveraging the strategic, foundational, and guiding roles of standards, it increases the supply of green products, guides green production and consumption, and enhances the quality and efficiency of green development.
