1. Scope 1.1 This standard applies to electrical appliances intended for washing dishes, including washing machines combined with other devices (e.g. washing and drying machines) with a voltage not exceeding not 600 volts. These appliances are designed to be used in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. 1.2 This standard applies to both corded and permanently connected appliances, which are designed for use in both the home and commercial establishments. These appliances include basket and conveyor type dishwashing machines. 1.3 This standard does not apply to dry cleaning equipment.
