Purpose and Scope of Document This document is intended to serve as a program management guide for the development of Personal Communications standards. The document has several objectives with regard to Personal Communications: ? Assist T1P1.1 in its program management functions@ ? Guide T1P1.2 and T1P1.3 in developing high level standards@ ? Indicate the areas of standardization which are needed and the standards bodies responsible@ ? Provide agreed upon schedules and priorities for the development of standards and ? Provide Committee T1 and the telecommunications industry with a means for tracking the status of standards development.
