- Scope
- 5.1 Raw Materials
5.1.1 Basalt Fiber
It should comply with the technical requirements specified in GB/T 38111 for general-purpose basalt fiber.
5.1.2 Basalt Fiber Composite Material
The composite material used for the support frame shall be a basalt fiber reinforced pultruded profile, and its performance should meet the provisions of GB/T 31539, as well as satisfy M30 grade requirements.
5.1.3 Hardware Materials
Hardware components used in conjunction with the support frame should conform to the specifications of GB/T 3098.1 and GB/T 3098.6.
5.2 Appearance
The finished composite material support structure component shall have a smooth and even surface, with uniform color, without cracks, bubbles, burrs, fiber exposure, or poor resin impregnation defects; it should not be significantly twisted, and the cut edges should be neat, without delamination. The surface coating should be even, without peeling off, and there should be no overspray or missed application issues. There should also be no obvious sagging, pinholes, bubbles, or wrinkling defects.
5.3 Dimensional Tolerances
5.3.1 The wall thickness of the support frame members should not have negative tolerances, and the machining error should meet the requirements specified in the design drawings. Where no dimensional tolerance is noted, it should conform to the m-level requirements stipulated in GB/T 1804.
5.3.2 Dimensional deviations after factory assembly of the support structure should comply with the requirements specified in Table 1.
5.3.3 For fixed angle adjustable supports, the deviation between the set angle and the actual angle at each supporting point should be within ±1° for corresponding points.
Table 1: Dimensional Tolerances After Factory Assembly of Support Structures
Requirement Item Installation Angle Frame Beam Elevation Column Surface Centerline of Members
Tolerance ±0.5° ±1mm ±1mm ±1mm
5.4 Allowable Slenderness Ratio for Members
It should comply with the requirements specified in Table 2.
Table 2: Allowable Slenderness Ratios for Compressive and Tensile Components of Support Structures
Component Category Allowable Slenderness Ratio
Compressive Frame Main load-bearing components 150
Other components, supports etc. 200
Tensile Component Major components 350
Column-to-column supports 300
Other supports 400
5.5 Structural Deformation
5.5.1 Under the combined effect of permanent dead load, wind load, and snow load standard values, the deflection of bent support members should comply with the requirements specified in Table 3.
Table 3: Allowable Deflections for Bent Support Members
Bent Component Deflection Allowance
Main Beam l/250
Secondary Beam (without edge frame photovoltaic modules) l/250
Other modules l/200
Note: l is the span of the bent component. For cantilever beams, l is twice the length of the cantilever beam.
5.5.2 Under the combined effect of permanent dead load, wind load, and snow load standard values, the column top displacement for fixed support structures should not exceed 1/60 of the column height; for fixed angle adjustable supports, it should not exceed 1/80 of the column height.
5.6 Corrosion Resistance
Corrosion protection is generally not required for basalt fiber reinforced composite material support structures. In special corrosion conditions, corrosion protection measures shall be determined by mutual agreement between the supplier and user. If different materials are used in connections within the structure, anti-corrosion gaskets should be placed between them.
5.7 Environmental Durability Performance
The water resistance, alkali resistance, ultraviolet durability, and freeze-thaw cycle durability of FRP type materials used for support structures should comply with the provisions specified in GB/T 31539.
5.8 Fire Safety Requirements
5.8.1 It should meet the HB class requirements as specified in GB/T 2408. Higher fire safety requirements can be determined by mutual agreement between the supplier and user.
5.8.2 At a test temperature of 750°C, it shall pass the burning wire flammability test specified in GB/T 5169.11.
