This standard, which is a technical report, gives an overview of the requirements and tests set out in IEC 60601-2-66 in conjunction with the applicable sections of IEC 60601-1 and the related standards in the IEC 60601 series. It is intended to assist the various groups involved in the product life cycle process - such as designers and suppliers - in obtaining a general understanding of the basic requirements without detailed study of all relevant standard documents.
